Commercial description
A complex beer for the experienced enthusiast. Once brewed by the English as a present to the Russian tsarina, it has now gained great popularity with craft brewers around the globe, as it allows more creative freedom than any other beer. We do that by stuffing our Imperial Stout full of hops and leave it to mature in barriques (small wooden
barrels) for 6 months, before we bottle it.

Distinct woody-spicy notes from the barriques create the first impression on the nose, complemented by figs and Amarena cherries. Vanilla and herbs, especially thyme, mingle. A gentle oily impression is followed by pine and a reoccurring herbal bouquet of thyme. The finish is soft but dry with lingering aromas of wood and black pepper.
